Different Societies With Different Political Perspectives

Opinion is an individual’s approach to a particular matter. Everyone has the right to shape their thoughts regarding any happening according to their understanding. Opinions are mostly linked to a person’s ability to understand and analyze the situation. The opinions are not only drawn by minds. They are interlinked with present happenings, background, and situation, through which a mind goes.

Politics is usually considered a debate between the ruling parties to outdo each other. There are societies where politics is only a matter of power snatching, while some other societies consider politics as an essential tool for proper power distribution. The thinking difference has strong roots in different scenarios through which a society has undergone.

In the underdeveloped societies, with minimum or no rule of law, the general public does not have high expectations from the politicians. They usually consider election polls merely a pre-decided event, where their presence doesn’t matter. In contrast, in a developed society, elections are a way of expressing the public’s interest in a political party.

Due to the difference in political perspectives between people living in different regions, the politicians’ way of dealing with the elections is also different. In a developed society, you can expect parties in power to work for the betterment of all the classes of society without any discrimination. The political planning is often long-term term and the ultimate goal of the planning is “Public Welfare”. In such societies, the ultimate goal remains constant irrespective of the ruling party. Here, parties may have some disagreements, but the national cause always prevails.

On the other hand, in a society where politics is merely considered an easy way to make money, the political efforts are mostly common in the days of elections. Such efforts have short-term goals with immediate results to attract the public. In such societies, more focus is on appointing controlled persons in different departments like the election commission, bureaucracy, and judiciary. The ultimate goal of a ruling party during their 5-year tenure is to secure their next 5 years. Usually, the public suffers, and national interest is also at stake.

The political perspectives usually take years to build, and once they are built, it’s tough to change. This change demands long-term public involvement in political setups. So, in societies where the public is badly indulged in the fight to earn their basic needs, public involvement can be considered an unachievable task. A specific class of society will never allow the power to reach the local levels. That’s why we see a disturbed governance system, local and government system in such societies.

So, overall the intentions were to just draw a generic difference between political approach of developed and under developed society.
