An organized way of receiving or passing instructions at a school, college, or university is Education. The one who is receiving such instructions in an organized system is a Student. People living together and involved in regular social interaction with each other form a Society. The influence each individual has on another while surviving in the same community is Social Interaction. Societies with a greater number of educated individuals generally have a greater literacy rate and vice versa.
When we talk about education and the underlying purpose of education, we usually talk about personality development, skills development resulting in suitable financial gains leading to potential contributions towards the progress of a society. However, this is a general goal of education and may differs when it comes to priorities for different societies.
Let’s compare the differences between perspectives on education that exist between different societies. The underdeveloped nations usually are limited to financial outcomes without the desire to become prominent and gain the maximum out of the educated individuals. The underdeveloped societies can maximum thought of be an 8-4 worker with an average pay desire. Their ultimate goal of education is just to earn a handsome amount, get a government job, and build their own house. Sometimes, such goals and desires underestimate the potential of each individual and can’t achieve maximum outputs from educated individuals.
Such a limited approach is due to the bubble that is created by the manipulating powers of an underdeveloped society. The manipulating powers involve individuals who want to stay dominant over the other individuals of the society. The bubble surrounds every individual, whether he is educated or not. The educated individuals are often influenced emotionally by their parents. Parents struggled to get their basic earnings, and their maximum approach is to get potential earnings to survive from their educated children. So, such a society limits the educated individuals either by the bubble created by the ruling powers or the emotional stance of their parents. As a result, education merely focuses on minimum financial stability.
On the other hand, when we talk about developed societies, education is linked with new inventions, the desire to work for the nation’s progress, and to become prominent in their desired field. They think of new business ideas, and think about new stable businesses resulting in suitable job openings. Their mind is not limited to basic earnings to survive. Such an attitude is not only subject to personal desires, but the whole society is involved in getting the maximum out of their educated minds.
Such developed societies not only support their individuals but also open calls for individuals from other societies that are highly motivated and capable, by providing them with huge stipends and better future secured settlements. Many individuals from the underdeveloped societies, after seeing no suitable benefit of their education and limited hypocritical opportunities, are attracted towards such opportunities from the developed societies. Such developed societies try to attract all the “Cream” from all other societies to become their part and lead to the development of the community.
So, because of such attitudes and perspectives toward education, we see the developed ones get more developed and the underdeveloped ones continue to decline. The basic approach difference between the two societies usually defines their future. The ruling class from the underdeveloped society wants to rule by keeping all the other classes under their control, while on the other hand, the developed societies focus on overall development, leading to equal opportunities for all, resulting in overall progress of the society. Such developed societies have equal power distribution, and the individuals are not controlled by the ruling class. Every individual has a separate identification and role for the progress of society.
